Three Years of Building Futures Through Football

Three years ago, HVD Football Academy began with a simple but powerful belief: talent should never be limited by circumstance.

Founded in Good Hope, Harare, in 2023, the academy was created to give talented young footballers access to professional coaching, structured development, and meaningful opportunities—completely free of charge. What started with just 20 players has grown into a thriving academy of more than 60 young athletes, providing not only football training, but hope, discipline, and a pathway to something greater.

Built on a lifelong love of the game and a deep belief in the potential of Zimbabwe’s youth, HVD has quickly become more than a football academy—it has become a platform where dreams begin to feel possible.

In just three years, those dreams have already started to take shape.

In 2024, two HVD players travelled to Germany for international football training, becoming the academy’s first players to experience football beyond Zimbabwe’s borders. In 2025, HVD entered the Gloria Football League and hosted Zimbabwe’s first major 1v1 football tournament, further establishing itself as a growing force in youth football development. Today, both its U15 and U17 teams rank among the top teams in their divisions.

Now, HVD is entering an exciting new chapter.

Through a strategic partnership with SPSA in Dubai, every player is being tested and developed using elite sports science tools, benchmarked against top global football clubs. For these young athletes, it is a chance to understand what it truly takes to compete at the highest level—and to prepare for it.

Looking ahead, the academy plans to welcome more junior players, expand international partnerships, and create even more opportunities for selected top performers to train and gain exposure in the UAE, Germany, Zambia, and Spain.

HVD Football Academy is still only at the beginning of its journey.

But its mission is already clear:
