Welcome to HVD Football Academy, based in Good Hope. We select 66 brilliant young men between the ages of 14-18 and put them through a rigorous training and development program. Our mission is to prepare our players for their own international soccer careers. Select players will have opportunities to join renowned German clubs.

Hubertus
Von Drabich
Founder
Mr. Hubertus von Drabich is a distinguished individual known for his remarkable contributions to youth football development.
Born on May 12, 1977, in Austria, he grew up in Germany, nurturing a deep-seated passion for sports from an early age. During his youth, particularly from ages 16 to 18, Hubertus showcased exceptional skill by playing in the highest league within his county.
Richard Chimbetete
Board Member
A native of Nyanga, Zimbabwe, is a highly skilled professional Accountant and a dedicated Pastor. Currently, he holds the position of Director at VOH Zimbabwe, where he leads a passionate team of individuals to bring about positive change in the lives of people, with a particular emphasis on children.
Dr Munetsi Zowa
Board Member
serves as a pastor at VOH in Zimbabwe, where he has been for the past 23 years. His passion for the vulnerable and for community development is undeniable. He Holds Master of Leadership Degree as well as a Doctor of Ministry degree. He is one man who loves game of soccer, and still plays socially every weekend even in his mid-fifties.
Phillip Taylor
Board Member
with early aspirations of being a professional classical singer, which led him to perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at some of the most prestigious venues in and around the UK. He carried forth his passion for music to discover new musical talent and, in turn, supported the careers of many.
Eddie Jaricha
Board Member
having graduated with Honors from the University of Zimbabwe in August 2022, Eddie holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree in Human Resources Management. Eddie is an avid football player and holds a deep passion for the game. His love for football has instilled in him the values of teamwork, discipline, and determination.
We offer a comprehensive training and development program that includes technical skills, strength and conditioning, speed and agility, tactical skills, goalkeeping, mental training, nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and scouting and recruitment.
